Our Story
Creating a safe and happy home for our families is in the forefront of our minds and the minds of mothers everywhere. The amount of information and misinformation available in the health and wellness space left us feeling overwhelmed and frustrated. White Dove Apothecary was born from a dream to provide ourselves and community with trustworthy, effective, and tasty wellness products.
The White Dove Way
Our product development method is a multi month process that starts with identifying problems and ailments plaguing ourselves or family members. We do research from a variety of sources to make sure we have a good understand of the root causes of the ailment, the herbs known to best address those issues, and the contraindications of those herbs. Once we have a list of potential herbs we move into tasting each and formulating the best combinations for an effective and flavorful end product. Test time is a favorite for us and our trusted group of feedback partners as we continue to adjust the flavor profile, potency, and formulation. Once we have perfected the product, we get to name it, pick packaging, design labels and start sharing it with you all.
Why Herbalism?
For centuries humans across the world utilized herbs and natural food sources to nourish, support, protect, and heal their bodies. We study and share herbalism as a return to that connection between our health and nature. Sharing real relief for common symptoms rooted in the power of herbs brings joy and connection to our community.

White Dove Apothecary is dedicated to creating a trustworthy brand that will deliver effective, natural, and delicious products to fill your medicine cabinet and beyond. We aim to make utilizing the power of plants accessible and easy to integrate into your lifestyle.
Barbara comes from a family of healers. Her great grandmother was a respected herbal medicine healer. Her father embraced herbalism over conventional medicine for his family. When plagued by chronic hives, western medicine left her with a list of excessive medications targeting comfort with no real goal or resolution in sight. She turned to her roots and started studying herbalism for herself, eventually graduating from the Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine. Implementing this knowledge finally provided her with answers, results, and peace. White Dove Apothecary was born of a vision she had in a literal dream and is a product of following her calling.

Tara's first encounters with the power of plants started with a commonly known smokable variety valued for its medicinal and recreational properties. It was an easy jump into the expansive world of medicinal herbs. The study and practice of herbalism has brought relief and a renewed sense of control over the health and wellness of herself and her loved ones. Tara's involvement in White Dove Apothecary was part of Barbara's dream and when she shared it with her, Tara knew immediately she was on board.
